Hey all,
Just wanted to share a couple of updates from my previous posts, and to thank everyone that was kind enough to offer support and advice.
Finally got to speak to a diabetic nurse yesterday, and wow, what a difference, feel so much happier. Knowledge is a wonderful thing, and it was so nice to get the answers to so many questions, and some advice to help me get to grips with being T2.
Was told my Hba (the overall average thingy) was 55.
After a bit of pleading and using some charm, was given a test kit, so started testing myself yesterday.
Before dinner got a reading of 7.6 then two hours later, got 7.3
Today before dinner got a 4.8!! (Well chuffed with that) so my journey is underway, and now I can get an idea of how my food is effecting my levels, long way to go, but ya have to start somewhere right?
Thank you to everyone I've chatted to so far, looking forward to chatting more soon.
