Type 1 Finger poke

Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone doesn’t prick their fingers for blood anymore whilst using the freestyle Libre?

I have only been doing it once every 3/4 days and would like some feedback on others experiences

Thanks!

As someone with Type 1, I finger prick
- morning or night (when levels are stable) to check the sensor has not drifted. I find it drifts over its life
- when high. I find the sensors are less accurate in double figures. I do not correct a high without checking as it risks going hypo.
- when low - I find the sensors are less accurate when below 4. I do not correct a low without check as it risks going too high
- when I feel different to what the sensor says. This is rare.

Haven't pricked my finger in years since starting Libre, I have however promised myself I will do it more often as the estimated A1c is so far out, I assume the daily readings are also out.

Oops sorry, just seen this is a Type 1 thread, apologies

Totally agree, that is what I do.
