My fingers are getting quite sore and bruised from the constant finger pricking is there anywhere else I can use to draw blood.. I've heard its not good to use the thumb. So looking for alternatives. Thanks :)

Lancet settings? Anyway, both sides of index, middle and fourth fingers. Never the pads

I agree with getting a good lancet and check the depth settings. I also have found that after a while it bothered me less.

Start with reducing the depth and see how that goes. Also like @Mike d said- the sides are better than the pad. I also find my right hand is less painful than my left- no idea why.

You can also wash with warm water before testing which makes it easier for the blood to flow.

Good luck.

Don't press too hard before using the lancet just rest it on the finger

Thank you for your reply :) I will definitely try warming my hands first.
