Thanks for the reply. I'm going away and won't be able to wash hands at every BG test so she has said to get these to carry with me. What sort of barrier spray do you use?
hello
I got a box of 100 from Amazon for about £2.00 (free postage) for the same purpose when I went on hols. Can't remember the name off the top of my head but there were at least a couple to choose from (I think they were listed under pre-injection wipes or something similar). They're in sealed individual pouches, very small and ideal for carrying a few in a purse or wallet.
I always understood you should not use them as they can alter the BG result. Why not just carry a bottle of water and some tissues with you damp the tissue and wipe the finger you are going to use
I am of the believe that if it is good enough for the nursing staff in the hospital I was in a three years ago, to use alcohol wipes to take my bgl it's good enough for me.
My GP's staff use them to test bgl so again it's good enough for me.
I do not use them all of the time, but there seems to be a lot of f.u.d. being spread around re there use.
