HbA1c: 38.0 mmol/mol (5.6%) was 6.5% Dec 2011

Blood Pressure: 140/85 mmHg

Total Cholesterol: 2.8 mmol/L was 3.8 in Oct 2011
HDL Cholesterol: 1.24 mmol/L was 1.05
LDL Cholesterol: 1.6 mmol/L was 2.0
Triglycerides: 1.0 mmol/L was 1.2

Creatinine: 81.0 umol/L was 80.0

The only reason I got them was through the mydiabetes database being updated, they've to be redone by the nurse in a few weeks time for some reason, lipids? ...last time my bloods had to be redone 3 times :***:

Blood Pressure a bit high but I was harassed that morning so I'll blame that.

So from a Dx high of 10.3% I brought it under control fairly quickly to 6.5% in Dec and 6 months up the road I've tightened that control even further. Thats my take on it anyway lol Agree/disagree?

Well done! That's a great HbA1c result :)

Well done, I have doctor tomorrow for results of blood tests last week. I am not too confident as I started low carbing on 29th May and it is working but probably wont show up yet on their tests as that will be for last three months. My information does not seem to get updated on the mydiabetes database I have been in it a few times and there is nothing recent on it, dont know if that is my GP's fault or what it started off okay my medication etc was updated but has stopped recently.

Keep up the good work :D

Found this on the MyDiabetes FAQ...

Q: How often will my information be updated?
A: Normally this should happen within a couple of days of any appointments you have. It will depend on how long it takes for results to be recorded onto a computer systems that links to your diabetes record.

If that's not happening Cosy drop them an email on [email protected]

Thanks for the consensus all is well, weights dropping off nicely into the bargain.

The amount of times I have to give a full set of bloods does concern me tho, 5 sets needed to get the last two results, the cholesterol breakdown seeming to be the catalyst for all this retesting.

I don't mention in my sig but I take a statin, I was already on it long before the diagnosis of T2 diabetes, I was found to have PAD and a 40mg Simvastatin was prescribed for life. If there are concerns over low cholesterol the question I ask myself is why am I taking a cholesterol reducing statin
