There’s carbs in everything! It is carbs which cause your BG to rise and cider is quite high in carbs.
I don’t drink wine or spirits.Wine and spirits (with no carb mixers) would not cause a BG rise.
I don’t drink a lot. Never have done. Only really on special occasions. Last drink was Feb and time before that was probably Christmas! The challenge is if you drink a lot (this varies from person to person) , your liver needs to rid itself of the toxins (alcohol) which will stop it dripping glucose so may later cause a hypo.
I still don’t know how to carb count or bolus! I will NOT bolus for everything I eat and drink! In that case I might as well GIVE up now!! Not much of a life at all if you have to inject for everything that goes in your mouth!Personally, I carb count for a small.amoumt.of alcohol and stop bolusing when I drink a more than a couple of pints
Sounds well deserved.Having my first alcoholic drink since February tonight while watching the England game! BG will probably go HIGH!!! * View attachment 68525

Never tried it. I like lager so I can’t see why I wouldn’t.

That is the way it is but not so bad that I ever wanted to give up , in fact it's been ok and am thankful for the medical tech that has kept me going all these years .I still don’t know how to carb count or bolus!
