First Diabetes Clinic

Hi it's my first diabetes clinic tomorrow and I am dreading it. I get the results of my blood test the first since I was diagnosed in June. My hba1c was 55 back then I hope it's improved I am so nervous. I have lost a stone and a half already I just hope it has helped. I've changed my diet too drastically but still enjoy bread but it's wholemeal. I am just so worried I hope they don't say I need medication as I haven't been coping with the diagnosis anyway.

Good luck. Do you have a home blood glucose meter? If so, how much do you test?

Hi yes I was given a meter and I test every day I was probably testing too much at first

Hba1c down from 55 to 44 in 3 months and cholesterol down from 5.3 to 4.4 and blood pressure 100/60 and still no meds! I am so happy!
