First ever bg test

My new meter arrived 2day. I got up afta my night shift at 2pm and did my 2st ever fasting bg test. It was 5.7. Is this ok?? I'll test again 2 hrs afta eating my breki but what shd I b lukng for for a gd reading??

I'm t2d. No meds. Hba1c of 44.
