First eye test results received ...

... and all good! Phew, when diagnosed you worry about everything don't you? I went to the local GP for the scan, the drops hurt briefly but a good service - minor discomfort but worth it to be checked.

Received a letter today saying there is no sign of damage at this stage, hopefully with my efforts on diet and exercise it will stay this way - as I design residential interiors I need to look after my eyesight, well I've now realised I need to look after myself full stop :)
 
Unless you had been undiagnosed for many years it would be a complete and utter freak if you had any damage a few months after diagnoses :) The way to avoid or minimise damage is to keep both bs and bp under control.

Must admit the whole county heard my sigh of relief in March when I was given the all clear as I've been on insulin for 51 years :eek:
 
Pleased for you @CarbsRok I'm glad you are keeping in good health - my diabetes knowledge is nothing compared to a veteran like you (can I call you that )

I guess we never know how long we've been undiagnosed do we? And you could assign symptoms to diabetes when they have nothing to do with it! Any good result is a relief though!
