First hba1c since treatment Scan update

Update.
Results of my scan were mainly positive. The large cervical tumour has gone. The lymph node has shrunk but not gone yet. Consultant said that the radiation continues working for a long time and it may carry on shrinking. I have to have another Mri in 3 months and appointment just after that. I'm feeling well and back to dancing and walking so just need to put it to the back of my mind for a while.
Food continues to be a problem but I'm getting there. Doc said that is the radiation too.
Happy to be drug free and mostly around 80 - 100 g carbs a day. Although it's difficult to get a balance on the food my tummy will tolerate now.

That's great news! I'm so glad that your treatment has given you such positive results and that you have returned to a semblance of normality. I have always felt that dancing is one of the greatest mental and physical activities that people can take part in, it ticks all the boxes. Keep up the great work and I hope your appetitie and diet return to your normal levels very soon. Best wishes.

That is positive news, and the main thing is you have got your life back with your dancing and walking. Hopefully the food aspect will return to normal soon. Your body had a massive shock, so it is bound to take time to recover, but you are almost there! I send you my very best wishes.

Wonderful news. Your positive view is an inspiration to all. Very best wishes.

Hey Daisyduck, Such good news for you....Concerning your GI issues, have you considered using Immodium on a regular basis just to slow things down a bit? Been there done that with the rushing to the loo due to severe IBS, but the Immodium does help. I think my IBS all started as a result of the chemotherapy as well.... I don't know if you have heard about FODMAP eating for GI issues - researchers from Monash University in Australia - that is really helpful when trying to figure out what foods are "better" to eat than others.....things like onions, mushrooms, cauliflower, apples, etc. are NoNos. Might be worth a look as no doubt your intestinal flora has been aggressively assaulted....a long road to recovery but attitude is half the battle. Blessings/L

Thanks @lindijanice .
It can actually go either way. One day I have trouble going to the loo and the next day the total opposite. I have got Immodium for the worst days but found that can stop me going for a few days so am trying to stay "natural" Experimenting with what foods are a problem..it does seem to be high fibre veg etc. a little is ok, but had a lovely big salad the other day and that was a no ! I'll have a look at the FODMAP now
