well guys
Just back from 2 weeks in Lanzarotte. Had my 44th birthday, whilst there, so 2 challenges in 1.
I did not take my BG testiing stuff. But went with every intention of being 'good'
In the main I was. I enjoyed what I had, I didn't feel denied. The main things I 'cheated' on was
- 1 or 2
San miguels
- Some mini ritz cracker things
- some crisps
- some coconut macroons
My birthday treat (and it was a treat) was 2 rounds of toast with butter and jam. Gorgeous - you can keep your birthday cakes for me - this was Blissful.
Don't get me wrong I sound like a right BORE but I had a brilliant holiday, drank plenty of wine, had loads of great meals - steaks, stuffed chicken, fish etc, I just didn't really want the carbs.
However, I did put 7lb on. My hubby who had all I did and more, plus deserts and ice cream and loads of beers only put 5lbs on. Where's the bloody justice
Heyho, but it has shown me that holiday doesn't have to equal blowout or CHIPS like it used to do.
