Going to order my first meter, looks like it will be a SD codefree from what i have read on this site .I was thinking of doing my all breakfasts first, getting that sorted then moving on to my lunches then dinners I don't want to be overwellmed doing it all at the sametime, is this viable? Or half cocked?so on my first morning I will test on an empty stomach then eat breafast,2 hours later will test again, this will tell me if what I eat is good or bad for me and so change what I eat till I get it right, just one more please, assuming my first test is ok and if I don't eat breafast but test 2 hours later will my numbers stay the same or do they change regardless of what I do? Think that will do for now, thanks in advance.going back to sunbathe in the garden.tony

Taking it slow and orderly is what I did and my view was that I was in this for the long haul and wanted to do it properly. Also, finding a new menu that you like and will keep with is not always a fast process so take it slow.

It might be better to begin your tests with lunch or dinner in order to keep it simple. Breakfast is just that, a breaking of a fast and the complication of starting with a fasting reading may muddy up the water a bit. To answer your question though. If you don't eat your breakfast and test two hours later then a variety of readings is possible according to whether you have a liver dump due to not eating. This could happen at any time during the procedure and prevent you from learning much.
