Big step for me. Been reading stuff on here for a while. Type 1 for about 25 years always been a bit rubbish at it. However, have now adopted a LCHF lifestyle and bagged a Libre. HbA1c is 42 and the Libre predicts that if I stay as I am, next one will be 29. Just kinda wondered what people thought about this. My sugars stay pretty much flat all the time because I am consuming less than 5% carbs and using smaller amounts of insulin. Er.. there you go. Don’t know what else to say.

Welcome to the forum, @Andyarnie :)
Looks like you've got things well in hand now.
Do you check your Libre against finger prick tests? Mine tend to read low by 1 mmol/l or more, making the predicted hba1c rubbish.

Hi and welcome! Second to what @Antje77 said, it can read quite low, and you need to keep an eye on just how much, I’ve found. My own Libre usually reads 2-3mmol low (but I have added a blood calibratable transmitter system to it) - my predicted HbA1c was 26! But my blood calibrated system prediction and lab results came in at 34.5 and 35 respectively.
