Doctors telling me to take tablets
Hi
I'm Type 2, diagnosed 18months ago. No meds just diet and exercise. Completed low calorie diet, lost 1.5stone over 8 weeks. Hard but I feel it has put me in a great place to deal with this disease. Try to exercise every evening and burn at least 375cals.
Waiting for the call for next blood test.
Has anyone had long term success with avoiding meds?

Hi @andyrolly and welcome to the forum! I am trying to avoid meds but have only been diagnosed and doing LCHF eating since September, so not long term.
There are forum members who have been using the LCHF approach for longer, and I expect they will be along soon.

Thanks guys. I must say it was thi site and research that has made me determined to stay healthy without meds. Why do I get the Impression my Doctors just wants me on medz

Welcome to the forum. Great on the weight loss ! This will help immensely in glycaemic control. :)

Welcome It sounds like you are doing very well with your diet and exercise so keep it up and maybe you will not need meds.

Welcome andyolly. You are being sensible and treating your Diabetes your way - without medication! The amount of meds I have had/been on is ridiculous!!

I'm a couple of years, post-diagnosis, but I don't take any medication and have had my bloods back to non-diabetic levels since the first test after diagnosis.

Good luck with it all.

Had to buy trouser as they all too loose. Ebay listing trousers for sale from type 2 with successfully weight loss

I seem to need to get a smaller size of trousers every month. Gone down from a 36" waist last September to 28" now.
The charity shops are doing well from my cast offs.
