First time using a Libreview

Well, 2nd time but the first time I applied it with my Doctor guiding me. Video below:


Is it broken, or is there some way of releasing it that I'm not seeing?
 
OK, so I found this on a site that the forum won't let me link:


"Do not reuse Sensors. The Sensor and Sensor Applicator are designed for single use. Reuse may result in no glucose readings and infection."
I only got one applicator, was I supposed to get more?

There's one applicator for every sensor. They're together in the box.
Was the blue part down when you opened the box or did you do something with it?

I'd keep everything and give Abbott a call on monday, it might have been a faulty sensor/applicator. They're good with replacing.

I've done some more reading and I think that I only got one. My Dr said he put in a prescription for two, so I thought that the insert thing in the bottom of the package was another sensor but it apparently isn't, and I got one sensor and one applicator. My Dr also told me he put in for refills and the pharmacy says he didn't. I think I need to call my Doctor on monday
 
I'm looking through the visit notes from my last Dr appointment and I don't see any mention of him putting in for refills, which he said he would do. So that's awesome. Thanks Doc!

Every sensor plus its applicator comes in its own sealed yellow box like this. (Package may look a bit different in different countries but contents will look the same, I opened one of mine to show you.)
In the box are the two parts you need as in the picture, plus a leaflet with instructions.

Can it be your doctor just gave you the empty box plus waste after applying the sensor in case you needed to contact the manufacturer?

Your profile says you're on metformin only, is that correct?
Being in the US, does your insurance pay for the sensors or do you have to self fund?
I've never heard of someone getting Libre funded on metformin only, but things may be different in the US depending on insurance.

If you have to pay for the sensors you can just buy them over the counter in the US, as far as I know, no need for a prescription.
If your insurance covers it if prescribed, I'd get back with your doctor and ask what went wrong.

Yeah, I got one sensor it appears. I thought there were two sensors per pack, and was wrong.
