I'm right and is there a fizzy drink that should be okay, I've given up so much I want to drink something fizzy
I am totally low carbing, I take 1 Dapagliflozin daily but still struggle to keep my BG under 7, today I had a roast turkey dinner no potato, no Yorkshire just meat and veg and about a tablespoon of thin gravy, two hours later my blood test was 8.8 once again I was so disappointed, but before testing I had drunk half a glass of no added sugar pineapple and grapefruit Sainsburys fizzy , wondered if this has affected the reading , so I waited an hour drank some more...tested and it was 9.5, so I'm figuring this drink is a no no, do you think I'm right and is there a fizzy drink that should be okay, I've given up so much I want to drink something fizzy
That's basically carbonated water and chemicals !I'm guessing you may have had a reaction to the unnatural soup in that particular beverage
INGREDIENTS:Carbonated Water, Pineapple Juice from Concentrate (2.5%), Grapefruit Juice from Concentrate (2.5%), Acid:Citric Acid; Flavourings, Sweeteners:Acesulfame K, Sucralose; Preservativesotassium Sorbate, Dimethyl Dicarbonate; Acidity Regulator:Trisodium Citrate; Stabilisers:Acacia Gum, Glycerol Esters of Wood Rosins; Antioxidant:Ascorbic Acid; Vegetable Oils:Coconut Oil, Rapeseed Oil; Colour:Carotenes.
Although it appears to have a low carb count it looks like your body doesn't like it.
Maybe some sparkling water with a squeeze of lime juice in it as an alternative?
But it tastes goodThat's basically carbonated water and chemicals !
Yes I agree those drinks do taste good, it took me a very long time to manage without them, so you're not alone. But it tastes goodyou would think at my age I'd read a list of ingredients, looking at these I'm horrified....another lesson learned
