Has anybody tried this, it seems to have a lot of Carbs.
There is a lot of food in it I cannot eat (not vegetarian but I can substitute)

Sounds like a variation of the Mediterranean diet. There's nothing particularly innovative about it, but I wouldn't necessarily say there's anything WRONG with it.

Just curious, but any reason why this one stands out to you?

I read the book recently, and thought it had some really good things - so though it might be good for recommending to diabetics who might find LCHF or paleo (or whatever low carb) way of eating' too much'.

It takes on the healthy fats thing well, I think - which is its standout technique (eating a MUFA fat with every 400 calorie meal, I think it is), and deals with stress and sleep issues (as very relevant for belly fat - and getting rid of it). I thought the exercise section particularly good, and I liked the 'real people' stories, with a fair smattering of T2 diabetics I seem to remember.

I had a brief look at the recipes but didn't try any out, as I have my way of eating (read cooking) pretty well sorted these days. I did think they looked yummy. I'm not a fan of calorie counting (or any kind of counting - carbs is the only thing I have to count these days!). Which would be a bore for me - sticking to the 400 cals three times a day thing, with a MUFA at each meal...

I would love to hear how forum-ers found it, if any? As I was planning on suggesting it to diabetic folk who don't want to go low-carb for whatever reason...

(Going non-grain and non-milk, and walking, largely sorted my belly fat out.)

I don't drink milk, walk every day, grains give me sore belly, I have tried 1st day today, had cod rather than chicken (don't eat chicken) Didn't feel particularly hungry, but I have been very tired recently so maybe try it for the month see how it goes.

This is really interesting @Shar67 please post updates on how you are getting on. I've been slowly cutting the carbs over the past few months but now having problems with keeping enough weight on (as you know I can't do fats either and a veggie) so I'm going to have to rethink. As an aside, @Brunneria posted some interesting stuff to me on the 3c subforums which may also be of interest to you. Xxx

The structured plan and exercise programme that goes with it, not that I think it will work as I went 3 weeks without eating a bean only drinking water (I was in ICU) and didn't manage to lose any weight. I used to swim everyday and I'm sure that kept my body at a good weight but it absolutely kills me now, all the drugs etc seem to take a hard toll
