I was told I had to have the flu jab and been ill ever since that is to say .... I had the jab Tuesday and full of cold ever since ..anyone else have this trouble??
Acceptance of health treatment claims that are not adequately supported by evidence. I dislike it when people sell ineffective and even harmful alternative health products to exploit the desperation of people with chronic illness.

You should have been offered the flu jab and allowed to make your own decision instead of told you had to have it. Either way, it is highly recommended for diabetics because the benefits outweigh the risks, unless the person has a rare medical condition.
Cold and flu viruses are different to each other and it is possible to be developing a cold and coincidentally have a flu jab at the same time. Nothing in the flu jab increases the chance of getting a cold. It's just bad luck. Hope you feel better soon.
I have always took my flu immunization every year and have never had a cold after it. Any connection between the flu shot and getting the cold is wrong and pure coincidence. A lot of cold viruses circulate at this time of year. Better protected from influenza than not especially if you are diabetic.
I have always had the flu jab every year but this year I got a reaction to it and felt groggy, achey and yuk for about 5 days. When I mentioned it to the nurse she said that it was good I'd had the jab as this meant if I had actually caught this particular strain of flu then I would have been really, really ill. Feel fine now though.
