Does having a flu vaccination affect your blood sugar levels when I had mine this morning it shot up to 17.8 and it is taking a long time to recover

@Karen Earwaker Yes, my blood sugars always go up after a flu jab. It’s likely your body’s immune response that causes the rise. Mine usually comes down within 24 hours.

I’m T1 but could still get short term wayward bloods from a vaccination…
From my understanding the body’s immune response learns from the jab on what the projected seasonal virus will come? And learns what the immune system is likely to battle. So the body kind of goes into a “training session.”
So it is possible BGs could be elevated for a short while.
But by all means consult your doctor if higher BGs continue…
