Type of diabetes
Don't have diabetes
Hi, I am new to this forum and not sure whether I should be on it.
I’ve been having lots of problems over the last year with various symptoms.
Recurring urine infections
Dizziness
Unable to sleep one minute can’t keep awake the next.
Palpitations
Nausea
Nerve pain (however had that 10 years)
Itching
Terrible mood swings
Unfortunately I am going through the menopause I’m 52 so some of these symptoms could very well be that.
I bought a glucose testing kit to try as I had a non fasting test at my Drs that came back fine.
I tested myself in the afternoon after not eating for 5 hours and the reading was 11.9 . I ate and tested again after 2 hours and it was 7.5.
What confuses me is I did another test in the morning and it was 5.2 and then another after breakfast which was 6.9.
It all seems back to front and I’m thinking now if I go to my drs and have a morning test it will be normal

Have you been diagnosed? I don’t know what to do whether to go to the drs or not but surely those readings are not normal

Here are the levels used to diagnose diabetes...

There is only the 11.9 reading which is outside the normal range and that could be a fluke. Try measuring every morning when you get up for a few days, remember to carefully wash your hands and dry thoroughly first.
