I'm going to Amsterdam for the weekend and only have hand luggage so need medical evidence to bring my insulin onto the plane, my GP surgery are charging me £16 for a letter, now £16 isn't a huge amount of money but thought it a bit unfair, is this standard practise?

Thanks, think I will just bring my repeat prescription, the £16 can buy me a few extra beers

my surgery do charge for a letter ( £20)- it isn't really fair but in the big scheme of things is better to be safe than refused a check in etc etc

The hospital Consultant or DSN will provide a letter free of charge Paul, no need to pay £20 :)
