Most type twos will benefit from :
a marked reduction in sugary and starchy foods eg desserts , bread, potatoes, rice, pasta.
an increase in the amount of meat, fish, eggs, tofu, cheese, low starch and salad vegetables they eat.
eating about the same amount of fruit, lentil, oats, legumes as usual but be prepared to cut these down if blood sugars are not settling into normal levels.
eating about the same amount of fat as usual but be prepared to increase this if you are getting too skinny.
