Hi everyone
My hubby has nerve damage to both feet and he is in constant pai and discomfort. He is on anti depresents but they make him for depressed and today he cant wait to die!
Has anyone got a way they relieve the pain and what do you wear on your feet. Thanks

Hi mandy and welcome to the forum.

Sometimes a small does of anti-depressants are used to alleviate the pain associated with neuropathy. Amitriptylene is often used.

If the pain is so severe that he cannot stand it and it is interfering with his quality of life then he needs to go back to his G.P. for something stronger.

There are people on the forum who take prescription only pain killers for this complaint and I hope they will post with their experiences.

I do sympathize with you and your husband I know how debilitating nerve pain can be. I have nerve damage in my left leg and suffer constant pain. I have been prescribed Oxicodone a morphine pain killer which does help with the pain but obviously you have the side effects of being constantly drowsy . I did try duloxetine anti depressant medication but was so ill I had to stop them after 3 days. Everybody is different so your husband may be ok on these. Best of luck there is medication that can help just need to find what is right for your husband
