I don't really inject the novorapid short term acting insulin. I just inject the long term acting one in the morning and at night. Is this really bad?

Hi @Abby's Novorapid is injected specifically for the main meals that you have during the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner (if you have all three) and should be injected prior to these meals to keep blood glucose within the safe range. If you eat and do not inject you will be putting yourself at risk of hyperglycemia and potential DKA (diabetic coma)

Why do you not inject your novorapid ! It is essential you do this otherwise your chances of long term complications will be upon you way before they are due.

What are your sugar levels ! Have you spoken to your diabetes team about this !

@Abby's, the title of your thread suggests that you do want to take your Novorapid but forget to do so, if this is the case then you can use pens that have a built-in memory function like the NovoPen Echo, you could also set alarms on devices such as your mobile phone to remind you to take your insulin.
