Type 2 diabetic since 2013. Prescribed Metformin and Gliciazide and generally maintain a 6.5 to 6.9 blood sugar reading with no side effects. Have been pressurised to change 40 mg Glixiazide, once a day, to Forxiga and have felt absolutely miserable. Constantly thirsty, waking up in the early hours with migraine level headaches and getting severe cramp in calf muscles. Blood sugar has leaped to over 10 in just 5 weeks and is climbing almost daily. I have gone back to Diabetic Nurse who tells me it's nothing to worry about and that there has been no reports of Forxiga causing leg cramps.

Anybody on this?
Anybody getting cramp in calf muscles?
When or if does the mouth stop feeling like the Gobi desert?

Yes I am and the only symptom I get is thrush if I eat too many carbs. I have to make sure I drink about 2lts water a day but that’s to keep the kidneys flushed as Forxiga gets rid of the excess glucose through your wee. I take electrolytes as well to stop leg cramps.
I’m really sorry to hear that you are getting all of those symptom. Do yo suffer from migraines? Are your symptoms listed on the information sheet that come inside the box?
