It's interesting because the author has an imperfect grasp of the relevant physiology and biochemistry. It contains some very basic errors e.g. glucose is converted into saturated fat, glycogen is used for anaerobic exercise.

Lipogenesis, or "de novo lipogenesis", would indeed indicate that carbohydrate (which digests to glucose) becomes fat:
