I bought some Freekeh and found I can eat this with hardly any increase in my BG. As I am trying to eat LCHF and the fact that the Freekeh didn't adversley affect my BG is it okay to eat this quite high carb food as part of LCHF?
H @Atlantico, feekah is about 60% carbs. It depends how much you have of it as to whether you are using it in a low carb way. Low carb is often defined as somewhere below 120 to 130 g of carbs per day.
And very low as below about 40 g daily. (some say at 20 to 30 g) of carbs.
For you I guess the more important thing is whether you develop hypoglycaemia after eating it.
