Freestyle 2 sensors

Having zero issues. Unless of course I abandon my phone elsewhere, which when busy is a given. Just scan and all ok.
Same here.

I use a galaxy note 10+ some times the BT might drop. (I put this down to external interference.)

But I either restart the phone, switch off & on the Bluetooth or clear the Bluetooth cache.

Never had to replace a sensor.

Hmm not got them yet, I have been prescribed for them. I Dont have an I phone. Will they work on a Samsung 12 phone ?
I am an old bird, like my phone not technically minded

I think that's wise. I've always just used the reader and everything has worked perfectly well. The odd sensor has been replaced by Abbott but I'm all for keeping things simple & as reliable as possible. Interestingly the Reader Meter alarm screams if it's apart or away from the sensor on your arm for too long !

I have had trouble using left arm with Libre and now Dexcom - I put it down to lying on my left side at night. whether it crushes/interferes with signal I don't know. Maybe bed springs being metal cause radio interference?
FYI: I had numerous bad Freestyles and although they replaced them FOC - they don't have a replacement life system yet. Final straw for Libre was when they declared my new phone incompatible with their systems.

If my libre loses signal I just turn the Bluetooth on my phone off & on again & it restores it (can’t scan as I’m running shuggah at the same time)

Sensor failure seems to be par for the course with Libre. My original Libre was much more reliable - the failure rate seems to have increased with Libre 2. I seem to be averaging about 3-5 sensor failures per year now. Abbott are very good about replacing them as I don't see why my surgery should foot the bill but it's still frustrating. Occasionally I've had an use with the sensor communicating with the app (can't say it's specific to one arm) but mostly it's just complete sensor failure. I'd be interested to know if the alternative to the Libre is more reliable. Does anyone have any advice on that?

Depends whether you can go hypo (especially overnight) due to medication, for a T1 if the Bluetooth fails the sensor is no longer particularly useful unless you happen to have a miaomiao or similar to stick onto it.
That is true. My husband had to have ambulance out because of this very problem. Sensor wasn't giving correct reading but not enough to think any different. But was low enough that I couldn't rouse him. It was horrendous couple of hrs. Daughter got hold of Abbots and said about the faulty sensor and what had happened they weren't really bothered just said sorry about it.

Whenever I contact Abbot to have a sensor replaced they always ask whether any medical intervention was required. In my case the answer has always been no (long may it last), but I assume they ought to do something that isn't fobbing you (or your daughter) off, if intervention was needed. At the very least replacing the sensor.

What is his hypo warning set at on the app? Might be worth setting it higher if the sensor was only slightly overreading.

I do at least two finger prick tests a day to make sure the libre is reading roughly in the the right ballpark

Chances are. If you go to the App Store (or play store?) & find the free “freestyle Libre 2” app.
If your phone is compatable? It will download it…
