Hi all

Is there anyone on here in the NW UK?
I am in Liverpool and type 2.
Just wondering if I am eligible for the
Freestyle Libre 2 on prescription. Please
feel free to ask any questions, or give advice.

The new NICE guidelines have recently been published.
These recommend that anyone with diabetes treated with insulin have access to rtCGM or flash CGM (Libre).
However
- these are only guidelines and can be interpreted differently by different CCGs
- these have only recently been released and CCGs were not given a pot of money to fund the additional CGMs so it may take time to adopt these guidelines
- the only recommendation for people with type 2 is if you are treated with insulin
