@BS92 , As Tim says, there are multiple discussions on this topic, and I would recommend you research it quite a bit as there are a couple of different options (including, but not limited to the Libre and Dexcom). I opted for the Dexcom, and personally find it incredibly accurate and unbelievably useful. In fact, simply life changing. For many, CGM systems are expensive, and often too expensive, but in my opinion, it is definitely worth trying to afford it if you possibly can. The Dexcom has a higher start up cost than the libre, but can be done cheaper if you investigate the various options, and over a 2 year time frame, I think it works out approximately the same as the libre. However, with a much smaller investment you can buy a 4 week libre starter kit for approx. £150 and if you don't like it, you just don't buy any more. I suspect that it may be because there are many more Libre users on the forum, but to me, it appears there is more dissatisfaction with it than the Dexcom users.
Personally, the things I specifically considered were:
Integration with Animas Vibe pump
Ability to extend life of sensors (I get 4 weeks out of most of mine)
Ability to integrate CGM data into phone and smart watch with xDrip
Accuracy of CGM
I would also consider reading "Sugar Surfing" and/or "Think Like a Pancreas" as both these books offer a great insight into the value of CGM. Feel free to ping me any questions if you want any further info.
