Is the FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring system available in the UK without a Doctors prescription? Have they suspended sale again due to high demand? If I come to the UK can I bring one back to my country?

Last I checked they were openly available from their website http://www.freestylelibre.co.uk/ once you register.

They are NOT available on prescription so if you want one you have to pay for everything yourself.

With regards to visiting UK then taking one away I guess technically there is nothing to stop you though you may find they will refuse to support you wherever it is you are heading back to if it is not available in that market currently.

I should point out this is all my understanding and I guess you would need to contact Abbott to get a proper answer, there may well be other regulatory issues though I personally doubt it since it is essentially NFC.
