Good morning I'm considering purchasing the freestyle libre.
I'm currently using dario bgm on my phone. Does the freestyle libre allow to input carbohydrates and insulin figures and giving insulin figure to take according to carbs and current insulin in body as I'm currently using DAFNE. Hope this makes sense

Dario is amazing!

The Libre has an edit facility with each reading where you can enter the following:

-Food eaten (grams of carbohydrate and a reminder to re-test your BGL 1hr or 2hr after eating),
-Rapid Acting Insulin (dosage in units)
-Long acting insulin (dosage in units)
-Exercise
-Medication

There are also reminder options such as to test at certain times each day or to administer insulin (for example - once/twice daily long acting insulin).

The reports that you can export from the Libre are pretty detailed and amazingly layed out. It really makes things clear as to how things are going.

Hope this answers your query:)

In addition to your list Grant, if when you add a note on the Libre reader, for "Food", the software will then display, on the downloaded graphs whenever you reached your peak, following that eating episode, irrespective if it's 45, 50, or any other number of minutes/hours after eating. I find that particularly useful (Thanks @Bluetit1802 for highlighting it), in further appreciating the impacts of proteins and fats on the peaking times.

It's a great thing. :)
