Freestyle Libre sensors

The life duration of each sensors for the Libre according to Freestyle is 14days.

Has anyone had any experience of these lasting longer than that? I'm thinking of thinning the cost.

its the reader that limits the sensor duration, theres a phone app that uses NFC to read the sensor that can extend the life of the sensor - sorry forgotten the name. However I guess Abbott have set the duration limit either to make more money or because the sensor becomes less accurate........place your bets on which one!
 
I suppose if there was any doubt that the sensor was becoming less accurate then a standard finger prick will be a good control measure.

No problem and yes you still should do *some* blood tests whilst using the libre
