Freestyle Libre sticker problem

Hello guys I'm new here..love the site by the way! I have T1 diabetes and my doctor suggested using the freestyle libre for 15 days to see if I am more comfortable with it!I have worn it for 3 days and I really like it but today somehow my sticker dispatched and I tried to patch it back but the scanner can't read it..so do any of you know how I can solve this problem? Thanks in advance..
 
Your Libre sensor will work for a maximum of 14 days.

The Libre sensor adhesive is typically very good, I have difficulty removing mine when it has expired. This product can help keep it stuck to your arm if you're experiencing problems, but this is only a preemptive measure and won't help for your current situation:

Send Abbott an email/phone them and explain what's happened. Providing you followed their instructions properly then they may provide you with a replacement sensor.

Did you knock it at all, or pull it off with clothing? Mine usually stick fast, but I did have just one that literally fell down the sleeve of my dressing gown without provocation!

Unfortunately it won't be possible to re-attach a sensor that's come off and have it work again, as there's a tiny very thin needle that's pushed into your arm when you use the gadget to attach the sensor initially. And as far as I know there's nothing you can do about fixing that...

If it's faulty adhesive on the sensor Abbot should replace it for you.

I've regularly had problems with the adhesive: I either bump it off, or scratch it off in my sleep, etc.

I also had a weepy sensor wound after the first few sensors.

Plus, because water can get to the sensor metal wire through the central hole, it would not read BG for 10-30 min after a bath. I suspect the weepy wounds were caused by the bathwater getting bugs into the wounds.

Mike from the other diabetes site recommended Optifix on his blog. I got Optifix tape which covers the sensor completely, with a couple of mm extra on each side. Perfect! No problems whatsoever since then.
 
I had some sensors replaced, I feel like some adhere better than others... watch out for body moisturisers in that area even after application. Abbott customer services advised using complimentary products from other suppliers to help tackiness. For example Turbot Skin tac from MG http://mghealthcare.co.uk/
But it's an expensive fail if it doesn't last the 14 days. Really depends on your skin, humidity / heat and possibly the odd dodgy sensor. Def report back to Abbott and keep the sensor as they ask you to send them back for analysis.
 
I would suggest you phone Abbott rather than email. It seems that emails rarely, if ever, get a response. They're very helpful, I've found. If you've followed the instructions re applying it and haven't knocked it etc, then Abbott will generally replace up to 3 sensors that fall/come off. If they are faulty, they will usually replace.
 
Agree with @Energize - the lady I spoke to was very helpful and apologetic. I had 2 replaced very easily and efficiently.
