The battery warning is showing on my meter and I wondered if anybody gets the batteries on prescription.

I have had the meter 7 months so I am surprised it needs replacing already. I had a look at freestyle at the no longer send out replacements due to postage restrictions.

Yes I know I could buy them, but that's not what I am asking.

I know, but come on man...

These batteries are around 50p each for market leading brands. Just over £1-£2 a year shouldn't burst the ceiling of your budget?

They used to be available from the manufacturers. However, it is no longer easy to post lithium batteries.
There are some great bargains on Ebay and Amazon for the large watch batteries that the Neo uses.

As for getting them on prescription, the NHS is struggling at the moment and I would rather my taxes are spent on something more valuable.

Hey @GrantGam . With such a sweeping statement regarding money I feel I have to ask are you really Scottish?
