Hi all I’ve read the instructions on how to use the control solution with the Freestyle Optium Neo meter but they aren’t clear. I’ve called Medisense but can’t get through (on hold for 15 mins).

Could anyone give me a step by step please? I can’t see a code or range on the box or test strip.

Thanks

@saundes3. Hi there.
With every box of Freestyle optium test strips there is an information sheet within.
Side 2 bottom item is a list of acceptable ranges for test solutions.

@saundes3 . To do a test you do everything the same as a blood prick test. Instead of blood you use the relevant control solution, low, med or high and match this number to information on sheet ( previous post )

Thanks will give it a go. What happens if it’s outside the range, and is the test to check for a dodgy meter?

1. Test ranges are standard in every box.
If a test is not in range?
1.Always ensure control solution is in date.
2. Second check with different batch of strips.
3. Call customer services to explain problems.
