Hi, as I keep knocking my libre freestyle sensors off accidentally, door frames, chairs etc I am considering buying the covers on Amazon in the hope these might prevent this. Has anybody used them or have any other suggestions. I use the sensors on the back of upper arms as instructions. This is an issue as, obviously GP won't replace until my prescription is due, and need to upload to the DSN fortnightly. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forum @majella If you ring Abbott they will replace them , it's not up to the gp to do that. Skin tac is good for keeping sensors in place.

I have the kovoq patches there nice as the have a extra plastic cap so if you want to remove it it won't pull the sensor off. I only use them if it starts peeling early or I know I'm doing somthing likely to catch it.

I use tegaderm patches, they last the whole 14 days, tried the kovoq ones but the plastic cap dug into my arm if I laid on it & left a red mark on my arm from the plaster

I‘ve been pleased with the ones from Pimp my diabetes. I believe they have worldwide shipping available, and will also send a sample.

what are these covers as I also tend to knock the libra sensor on door frames

Hi,

I place mine on the inside of the arm opposite side. Be wary in this position of possible catches with straps on a back pack/ruck sack, putting on a hi viz vest or gillet. & “embraces” in the personal life.. Apart from mindfulness on that. I’ve never lost one.

I do also use a sensor guardian armband which holds a Bluetooth bridge covering the sensor for a stand alone watch.
But they can be got as just a sensor protector too..
