On a recent trip to the UK, I purchased a FreestlyeLibre sensor on-line from Chemist-4-u, to use with my FreestyleLibre reader that was purchased in Australia. I got the following error message when starting the new sensor on my reader – ‘This sensor cannot be used with this reader’. This surprised me as I had checked the ‘FAQ’ section on Abbott’s UK website, as well as the FreestlyeLibre sensor packaging and nowhere did it mention possible compatibility issues between readers and sensors. Has anyone else experienced this problem, as I assume if you are a UK resident traveling abroad, then your reader may not work with sensors that are sourced from overseas?
