fruits

Lower carb fruit such as strawberries will have less impact on your blood sugars but it depends how much you eat and how you dose your insulin.
Remember, if you eat low or no carbs, your body will convert protein to sugar so you will need to work out how to dose for protein which is a different ratio and different timing.

oh ok I haven't been told to count protein and i am talking about cutting out unhealthy carbs such as white rice and replacing it with brown rice

When we are taught to calculate insulin doses, we are only told about counting carbs.
However, if we want to follow a keto diabetes, we also need to include protein in our calculation.
I found this more complex and choose not to follow a very low carb diet for this reason.
If you eat enough carbs, you do not need to worry about counting protein.
