Frustration at Libra 2 Plus

Same. Consistently getting lows for finger pricks in the range of 5-7. Don't know whether the variation is bigger compared to Libre 2, but I didn't get this many lows (compared to finger prick) with Liber 2.

If its constantly showing low or a lot lower than it actually is (compared to blood tests) change it now - dont wait, it sounds faulty, change it now - Abbott will replace it (I dont use Libre's so not sure if you have to phone or use the web or an app, but you will be able to - was phone last time I used Libre's) - sometimes these things can just fail (normally at the most inconvenient time I may add)

I haven't noticed any difference between libre 2 and libre 2 plus.

I still put a sensor on 24 hours before activation and never activate unless my levels are stable and finger prick test just after activation to check its accuracy.

There is no advice telling people not to activate unless stable but i have been doing it this way for years and apart from an occasional duff sensor i adore my libre and wouldn't be without it.

I've been at it for 50 years and remember the dark days!!!

I don't know either lol however i rarely have problems so am convinced along with being stable with no food or fast acting insulin on board it all contributes but but but i cannot prove it.

I also have been using Libra's for a long time (7+years) and only resently switched to Libra2+. I don't like the unrelabllity of the readings. I have alarms set inside the normal range (3.9 -10) to give me warnings to high or low levels. What happens most days is that I will get an alarm message and a read say of 10.5 and rising. I used to react to these to prevent going way out of range. However I have found it best to ignor such warnings for 20mts which then stop. Checking my phone I can see that my levels never went above 9 for that whole time. This also happens at the other end with low warnings.

Other times its correct which makes it very difficult predict and unreliable..........

This has happened with all the 2+ libra's I have used. I mentioned this to my GP who is also the practice diabetic specialist a couple of weeks ago and he said I was one of several patients reporting such issues to him in the past week.

I am going to ask my GP to prescibe Libra 2 as they are still available until August of this year.
