As some of you may know, the NICE guidelines have changed to insist that Type 2 on insulin should be prescribed FSL.
I brought it up with the doctor and she said yes straight away.
Please do ask for it and if GP says no then remind them of the nice guidelines.

My Diabetes Clinic at the hospital told me today that I don't qualify. Am on Humulin M3 x2 daily and test 4x daily.
They said I would need to be very unstable, need to test x8 daily, experience severe hypos, or be hypo unaware. Or, be incapable of finger pricking and need help so I don't understand.
To be honest i just looked at the NiCE guidelines and it said the same.
Mind you, my clinic and Gp are tight!
Well done for getting it though.
