"Nine weeks of education about the G.I. index in foods is enough to encourage adults with Type 2 Diabetes to adopt better dietary habits that result in improvements in their health, a recent study suggests".
I'm a firm believer in using the Glycaemic Index for Diabetes control. It worked well for me in my initial stages. I have since added Glycaemic Load to this which basically means you are reducing not only the high sugar foods but I am now also able to eat things which were previously banned just now tolerated in smaller portions. Makes a BIG difference to my diet choices.
