Hi, hoping someone will be able to help me.
Background: Type 1 for 6 years, diagnosed age 18. By 23 diagnosed with severe gastroparesis, peripheral and autonomic neuropathy, retinopathy and put on ACEs for high albumin urea. So, pretty much everything destroyed.
I have been on gabapentin for nearly 2 years and it had worked a miracle for my neuropathy - the only thing that has ever worked.
Anyway, this whole week I've been in tears with neuropathic pain. I'm on a huge dose already but upped it by 300mgs so now am taking 900 3 times a day. And NOTHING. The burning, stabbing, tingling,.,it's turning me into a complete wreck.
Why has it suddenly stopped working?? Is my body rejecting it all of a sudden?
To top it all off I'm in Canada so can't see my Drs or get any new medication.
Note: tonight along with 900mgs I took 60mg dihydrocodeine and nothing.
Help..I'm going mad.
