*** ****** man this condition can be frustrating. I went from 90 kg to 99 kg without even knowing. I cheated on my diet after being successful with it a month or so ago and since then i do lchf but sneak in alittle extra carbs now and again. Also because of work i have been rather sedentary.

The worst thing is immediately i was reminded of my condition afte a recent blood test. My HbA1C went from 5.5% to 6%. After being on lchf diet/keto(a diet which i enjoy but once in a while you miss the foods you use to enjoy) for 1.5 yearss i even forgot i was diabetic, the highest my HbA1c was 5.6%. All this with no meds but i did experiment with metformin and SGLTs.

I also experiment with more carbs in my diet and my blood sugar was always below 100 mg/dl. Only time it went higher was when i had an infection. I realized its too soon to add carbs. Not because i love sweets i am not a fan my only weakness was coke which i drank 2lt a day when sitting and working. But there are some carby foods i miss especially potatoe. I could have survived with potatoes and meat my whole life don't like cakes or rice or sweets. But i am good with fatty meats only.

The carbs i added was not that much i think the weight gain and sedentary life within these few months played a huge role. If you work and travel alot its also difficult to maintain a certain life style.

Anywho just wanted to let out some frustration ill go strick keto and do alittle fasting. Can't do carnivore i enjoy my veggies. Maybe add metformin temporary too. My ketones went back to 0 too FRUSTRATING

Don't beat yourself up, you've had great results already.
Carb creep can reignite the addiction, raises the insulin levels again & increases fat deposits.

Your A1c seems to track linearly with your weight.
Like me you probably need a scales as much as a glucose meter.
