I got gastroenteritis about 4 weeks ago and am still struggling to get rid of nausea . I am type 1 diabetic and wondered if it took anyone else longer to get over this .

Hi @Evie_little Welcome to this marvellous Forum! Just as a matter of interest, How have your blood sugar readings been over this 4 week period? When mine were badly high, not only could I get chronic diarrhoea, but I could feel nauseous for some time after.I hope you manage to sort this out quickly as it makes life miserable.

My blood sugars have been ok actually , as I’m not eating as much just keeping an eye on them and following sick day rules . I was told that because my immune system isn’t as good it’s taking longer to get over the gastritis caused by the initial sickness bug .
