I have GERD and slow colonic transit with a suspicion of mildly delayed stomach emptying that wasn't caused by diabetes. So I can relate just a little.

There was a good thread about gastro-p recently by @Anaelena who knows a lot about it, and others with it also posted.

I also recently came across this medical paper about it, which I found interesting:
http://www.motilitysociety.org/clinician/manuscripts/parkman_camilleri_anms_aga_gastroparesis_09.pdf

I'm still working my way through reading it (the more medical terminology the longer it takes me). But if you want to discuss it I may be able to help.

I have had gastroparesis for the past 2 years, just message me if you need anything

I am type one diabetic on daily x 4 injections a day. I also have gastroperisiss and in constant pain, blood sugars are always high due to my eating habits (some days not eaten all day) . I also have severe depression bi-polar and terrible anxiety attacks. I find the only things I can eat and digest is yogurt and small bowls of cereal. I use very strong pain relief and loads of tablets for all my complications, which are due to my erratic blood sugar levels. Seeing Dr next week but don't hold out much help for me, as all this is like a viscous circle. If you got complications like I've got, you know things will get worse if you can't control your blood sugars. Let me know if you want to compare notes (ha ha)
