Hi All

New on here. Need some advice as at the moment I am very angry with communication from Diabetes Nurse at local hospital.
My son aged 10 (diagnosed with Type 1 when he was two and a half) suffered a 1.8 low on Saturday. The Weds before his Dad took him to local hospital for his 3 monthly check-up. Anyway to cut to the chase, doctor upped his LANTUS at night 1 more unit to 12. Sat morning when son staying at his grandma's- had his low. I put it down to extra unit of Lantus as his levels are always good, no higher than 8 usually and his checks at 3 months are always either 7-7.5. This time it was 8 and I guess thats why Lantus went up, but I would of thought NOVO RAPID should of gone up instead. Nurse when told said it could of been absorption problem as his legs are a little lumpy (he has not had an injection in his legs for around 4-6 months as I do them in his bottom now to help lumps decrease and anyway they are tiny anyway. Feel I have no support from hosiptal. Any help re getting his bloods back to a more stable number now would be great as he is all over the shop now after the low on Saturday. Sometimes high then low 3-4
