Getting over a chest infection high sugar levels

Anyone else had this experience. Had a cold turned into chest infection was given two weeks of antibiotics amoxicillin. Extreme tiredness. Feeling on the mend but very tired. GP did blood test and had a call on Friday as sugar level result high. But I have been experiencing very fast on set lows. What's going on folks? Advice comment welcome.

antibiotics can influense your blood glucose.. it is quite common ... consentrate on getting well again, a few days is not that dangerous if you usually have a good control

Thank you for responding. Saw gp today and she agreed it might be caused by infection. Plan to get back to normal and have another blood test in a month.

During illness, blood sugar level will be increased.
