sorry @Giverny for not pming you but I cant get into my pming thingy all I get is a blank page, I'm really having problems apart from that, its taking ages to sign in, ages for the pages to show, replys are taking at least 30-40 seconds to show, I have noticed the white bar with the three scrolling bars is taking forever to clear and then I sometimes get a blank page, and sometimes when I click the forum button I get a blank page, I have tried to clear the cache as you suggested before but scrolling is fine..

It sounds to me like the site is loading very slowly for you. It's working fine for me, so this could just be a problem with your connection.

Thank you, have you any idea as to why I keep getting blank pages when I try to load alerts and the pm envelope and press the forum s button

I honestly have no idea. It might be worth restarting your router/modem.

@satindoll is it just this site or other/all websites that are slow?

Just this one, just ordered stuff from Amazon no trouble, email working fine , been on another couple of sites their fine too, so I guess I'll have to go off line again today,

Its no good I can't carry on like this will log out and try again later.

@Giverny, The strange thing is the site behaves itself when I am not logged in, have restarted my router no change, so am going to go off line and try again later, thanks for your help anyway.

Hi, could I just say .. First clear your history or catch .. Again
And reset your router .. If it's a bt home hub then what I find best for me is to unplug it for a few moments completely .. Then it has to restart again rather than just resetting from where it is ...
If it's still not working clearing the cookies may help.
close down your internet connection on your computer and Completely shut down your computer .. Again for a few moments .. Then restart .. Reopen Internet connection and see how it goes ... If it's still bad .. They try with a diffrent server ..
Are you a Mac or PC. ?

Done all of the above including asking my neighbour to let me log onto his broadband, still misbehaving as soon as I log into the site on a hp lappy.

I used to have big problems on a site ( not diabetes) that was on my old lap top, it would stall all the time/freeze, but it only happened on that site. In the end computer did pack up, bought little smaller chrome book and no problems, fingers crossed.
I hope you get it sorted out sooner rather than later.

@satindoll
1) are you hard wired into the router or wireless? If wireless try running a cable from lappy to router.

2) can you borrow a lappy from someone and try it on your router?

Thank RRB have tried sons stack, neighbours stack, my Acer w500, my Toshiba tablet, sons tablet even tried using different mice and finding the same problem, neighbour on different ISP so we know its not the broadband, now run out of ideas except the cable idea as sons stack is using the cable and his was running the same as mine.

What I still don't understand is why the site behaves until I log in, soon as I log in it starts throwing a wobbly,

Its as if it timing out before the page loads if that makes sense.

I am by no means a tech in these matters, but definitely sounds like connection gremlin problems sd. Have you tried asking son, neighbour or doing some googling regarding the problem, it may help? If you have done that already please disregard all I have said, Good luck.
