i've just tested mine and I'm on up to 100mbs with Virgin and I got 96.41download speed and 6.18 upload speed. That's what you call getting your monies worth.
Wow ... You must be lighting fast ... We have the fasted bt broad band we can get in this bit of scotland .. No fibre optic here yet .. And no mobile phone signals either .. So amazed and pleased for your connection speeds.

Have you got ELECTRICKERY in your cave?

Is anyone else having similar issues?

No .. My connection is a slow as it normally is, as I do just have slow bb speeds .. Apart from that mine is working well .. Must say since the updates to the forums it seems even better now than it was !

@Giverny yes I am having similar issues. I tried to reply to a thread yesterday and was unable to. It's so painfully slow. I'm also being logged out again often too, then it takes an age to get back in. Needless to say I'm not bothering much now.......or is someone trying to tell me something?

PS like Satindoll, I can't write you a PM either.

re speeds, I'm in rural France.
Download speed 0.52Mbps ,Upload speed 0.14Mbps.
It's obviously never lightning fast and I notice the difference when I go to the UK. Despite the slow speed, I haven't been having the problems that Satin Doll reports (I haven't tried to write a PM but the box seems normal)

Hi everyone, just to update, still not behaving when I log in, still getting blank pages, made a cup of tea whilst waiting for it to load this page, tried hard wiring it tried every thing bar throwing it into the bin, tried different router, cant think of anything else to do it behaves normally till I log in, so am going to keep watching and stay off line, dog at the vet today having tail amputated so I don't need the hassle, catch you later maybe.

Hi, me too. I'm having exactly the same problems as satindoll. This page was blank for about 2 minutes and then it took another 30 seconds to let me write a post. I expect it to be 2 minutes before the post is added to the thread. If I look through the forum without logging in it's fine so I don't believe it's our PC's at all. It's the same whether I'm using IE or Google chrome.

I have my own thoughts as to why this is happening but they are best kept quiet until I can PM you I think. Like satindoll I don't have time to waste waiting for pages to load.

I must say I have only seen this problem since the side bar was removed, whether this has caused the glitch I don't know, I have also tried chrome and firefox with the same outcome, its a shame as I have found this site so helpful and the people on it are wonderful kind folk and have enjoyed the time I've spent on here, will try to log in from time to time to see if there is any difference.

@zand
Immediately after I reported my low download speed, I had no download at all. I lost the connection
My ISP got the huff and cut me off! (or maybe it was the wind blowing outside)

.

Exact same for me too. If i am not logged in, very fast. As soon as I log in, everything takes ages. I took get blank white pages and this post has taken literally 8 mins. Hope this isn't cos I've had a warning ? CONSPIRACY lol.......

Just to let my friends know, Bobby the dog is fine, lost about half his tail but he has come round from the anaesthetic and is resting quietly so they say, they have kindly clipped his legs and underside for me the result should leave him looking like Shaun the sheep, picking him up about 3pm.

@satindoll if you get the same problems on other's machines and ISPs, then it sounds like your user profile file on DCUK's server might be corrupted, on the basis that it's fine until you log in.
